KARLSKOGA, Sweden (July 26, 2005) - The U.S. Under-21 Womens National Team downed Norway today 4-1 to claim an amazing seventh consecutive Nordic Cup championship. The U.S. led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by 18-year old Lauren Cheney, the youngest player on the roster, but second half strikes from Carli Lloyd, Heather O'Reilly and Lori Chalupny helped pave the way to victory for the U.S.
