Having not played in Canada’s first two Group A matches, Kara Lang made an immediate impact for the team in their third encounter against Mexico on 22 January scoring the fastest goal in the history of CONCACAF Women’s Youth Qualification, just four seconds into the match at the Estadio Luis Pirata Fuentes in Veracruz.
After the initial kickoff, Lang took a one touch pass and then hammered a shot from midfield that sailed over the head of the Mexican goalkeeper Anjuli Ladron De Guevara and into the back of the net.
